Why should I pay to use a child maintenance calculator when I can use one for free online?
There is no other 'gross income' scheme calculator available online. The new 'gross income' scheme is the latest CSA system to calculate child support in the UK. The scheme looks at your gross income (not net income like the previous two systems). The information will be taken from your latest tax records held by HM Revenue & Customs and will include income from all sections of your tax return or P60. The free calculators currently available online will be out of date in just a few months and then you will be charged £20.00 for one calculation by the CSA.
Why should I just not use the CMOptions service?
Since its introduction in 2008, CMoptions has handled over 600,000 telephone contacts as well as a growing number of email enquiries and home visits. Despite this and all the TV campaigns and advertising on just about every advice/family orientated website, in four years only 105,000 children have been helped by the service. This is because in the past Government failed to understand the problems parents face when they seperate.
From our own research, we recognise that for a private agreement to work people need to understand their full financial liability or their full financial entitlement. For instance, when a family first separates, it often means there are now two households to maintain from the same amount of income so each parent will seek their best financial option. Similarly, for families that have been separated for a number of years, issues such as children needing more income as they develop social lives of their own. These are square pegs that don't fit in the CMOptions round holes. The Footprint private agreement calculation looks at all of the additional income streams that CMOption has fails to take into account so the right maintenance calculation is produced.
Finally, further proof that CMOptions has failed is evident by the way the CSA is now quoting they will do a more accurate calculation under the new 'gross income' scheme for a minimum fee of £20.00. This is the same calculation Footprint will do for you for a third of the price.
Why should I join Footprint now instead of later?
The new scheme looks at latest tax returns so when it starts it will use income for the year ended in April 2012. This information is available to you now so instead of getting caught up in the chaos when the CSA changes make your private agreement now and make it one which will last. We know you just want a fair payment and Footprint will work it out for you.
Unlike any other online calculators, Footprint has been built by expert child support lawyers and uses all income streams, including income from land, property and dividends. By using Footprint there is no more months of waiting for application forms to be processed. Once your Footprint maintenance calculation has been made, you can email the other parent the new maintenance agreement.
